Beachfront Bars in Newport Beach

Newport's waterfront bars are packed into a few walkable blocks of the Balboa Peninsula around the Newport Pier — and you get to choose between ocean and bay. Mutt Lynch's sits right on the Oceanfront boardwalk with the pier in view; Stag Bar is a block inland on McFadden Place; and Woody's Wharf, open since 1965, faces the harbor from Newport Boulevard, with a deck where you can watch the boats go by. Park once and walk: all of them are within a few minutes of each other, and summer weekends fill up early.
